Isothermal Forging of Titanium under Vacuum

Hot isothermal forging under vacuum enables the production of demanding, near-net-shape forged components. The process is used for forming highly alloyed materials such as titanium, molybdenum and high-alloy steels.

During isothermal forging, the workpiece and tooling are exposed to coordinated high temperatures throughout the forming process. Combined with processing under vacuum, this creates controlled conditions for forming demanding materials.
